Travel rural backroads, the streets of small communities, and through farm country of the U.S. and you will find them; Barn Quilts. Barn Quilts are large, flat pieces of wood painted to look like a quilt block. They are comprised of simple geometric shapes and are painted in bright colors, in the same patterns found in handmade quilts.



This class offers an opportunity to learn the history of Barn Quilts, the simple techniques of painting them, and create your own barn quilt square. Students enjoy a hands-on learning opportunity that results in each creating their own beautiful, personalized Barn Quilt. Materials, patterns, and instruction are provided for painting a 12" x 12" barn quilt. You will choose your quilt design at class.
